Please note that Revelation is not currently seeking
submissions! Another open submission period will likely be posted sometime
soon. Watch this space for updates.

Revelation is interested in publishing any creative work — short
stories, short plays, essays, articles, reviews, commentaries,
illustration, sequential art — that has been inspired by or is somehow connected to any
conception of the end of the world. That doomsday connection may be
tenuous, implied, or overwhelming. Submissions may be representative of
any genre — drama, comedy, mystery, romance, horror, fantasy, science fiction,
creative nonfiction — provided there is a relevant and
creative apocalyptic element apparent in the piece. As with most
publications, the best means of determining what kind of work gets placed
in the magazine is to familiarize yourself with the content of past
issues.
Apocalyptic content need not be hopelessly dark and sketches that are
overwhelmingly dour without the benefit of an evident, redeeming purpose
will not be placed in the magazine. The horror of a particularly creative
doomsday will not carry a story by itself; Revelation's readers
value plot and character development above all else.
Please note that Revelation is not currently seeking poetry
submissions.
Revelation submissions should be made electronically, via e-mail,
in text or Word format. Stories, plays, or essays should not exceed
8,000 words. Multiple and simultaneous submissions are acceptable. Those whose works are
accepted for publication will receive a contributor's copy of the magazine
and the satisfaction of having contributed to the public's apocalyptic
paranoia. Additionally, the magazine's fiction is collected in an annual
print anthology from Fourth Horseman Press. Questions regarding content or publication should be directed to
the address below.
