QUOTE:
"Could you be any more of a relic of a bygone time? You're so over. The spandex.
The ridiculous little ear wings. The silly name. The tiresome, Sunday-funnies
moralizing. The chipper, back-of-the-cereal-box, gung-ho attitude... You
couldn't get anybody to spend a dime for that now." —The Parallaxians |

SUMMARY: A group of super-powered beings who profess to be
from an alternate dimension named Point Parallax have asked the Flash
for help in saving their people, and Wally West is all-too eager to
assist because their paradisiacal point of origin might offer the hero
and his family a safe haven in years to come. Wally has been plagued by
troubling dreams and nightmarish visions ever since the birth of his
twins, glimpses at possible futures in which his family is torn apart
and his loved ones are dead or devastated. The Parallaxians have made a seemingly
simple request, asking that the Flash obtain an alien device known as
the Summoner, and he intends to deliver. Visiting the Flash Museum to
retrieve the relic, Wally discovers that the Summoner has been taken by
two of his former Titans teammates, Nightwing and Cyborg, and delivered
to S.T.A.R. Labs in an effort to determine the true nature of its
immense power. Dismissive of the potential dangers and desperate
to help his family as well as the mysterious Parallaxians, Wally
retrieves the Summoner despite his friends' objections and follows
through on his promise. Unfortunately, the fastest man alive soon
discovers that all of his recent decisions may have been dictated by
nothing more than fantasy and illusion and, as a result, that he's just
delivered a potentially devastating weapon into the hands of one of his
most powerful foes!
