QUOTE: "When people you love get hurt life doesn't get complicated. It gets simple. Even when the killer is found, Wally, this won't be over for you. Or for the Flash." —Iris Allen

SUMMARY:  The superhero community is thrown into turmoil when Sue Dibny, the wife of the Elongated Man, is brutally murdered by an unknown assailant. Ralph Dibny was one of a number of superheroes without a secret identity and the circumstances of his wife's death instill pangs of guilt in Wally West, who — yet again — struggles to come to terms with his own recent decisions regarding his public and private identities. Circumstances stemming from the murder also reveal the Justice League's most shameful secrets, secrets closely tied to decisions made by Barry Allen. With the killer unknown and still targeting the loved ones of the world's greatest superheroes, both heroes and villains throughout the world begin reconsidering their relationships and their choices. Hoping to keep close to his own family during the crisis, but still sadly uncertain regarding Linda's whereabouts, the Flash visits Iris Allen only to discover that Barry Allen has more closely guarded secrets to reveal to his protégé from beyond the grave.
