SUMMARY: Linda's life is rescued in a flash by Jesse Quick, but the West's home in West Key is left in ruins by the explosives planted by members of the vicious Children of Cicada. Detective Jared Morillo and Detective Fred Chyre team-up to track-down the cult. When they find them, Cicada is using the Flash's own unique life energy to resurrect the corpse of his wife. What the fanatical cult leader doesn't realize is that Elizabeth, his wife, may not want to share his ever-lasting life! Using Magenta's own powers against her to effect his escape, the Flash helps Chyre and Morillo to put an end to Cicada's insane influence once and for all. The hideous cult has left its mark on all those that it has touched, however. Magenta has escaped, surely madder than ever. Wally West, now bearing a lightning-shaped scar on his chest, is interested in leaving the suburb of West Key behind and plans to move with Linda to Keystone City itself. Detective Morillo discovers his wounds healing at an astonishing, unnatural rate. And Officer Chyre, left to care for Josh Jackam, the child of his former partner, comes to an obvious conclusion as to who the unnamed father of the super-powered tyke might be.
