SUMMARY: Keystone City is attracting a number of colorful
characters, many of them sure to prove dangerous. At a Keystone City
Combines hockey game, Wally West spots Len Snart — the one and only
Captain Cold — trying to blend in with the arena's crowd. Keith Kenyon —
the former supervillain once known as Goldface — has taken a position as
a union commissioner and is now rallying Keystone's automobile workers.
Elsewhere, Jesse Quick is finding that her business life and her role as
a superhero can become volatile when mixed. While responding to a police
gun battle at Keystone Motors, the Flash finds himself face to face with
two disgruntled ex-girlfriends: Julie Jackam, the only single mother on
the Keystone City police force, and Frankie Kane, the magnetism-powered
schizophrenic known as Magenta. Magenta helps to save the scarlet
speedster's life, but will the unbalanced woman ultimately define
herself as a superhero or a supervillain? Even more distressing are the
two fanatical assassins who initiated the Keystone Motors attack. What
motivated their strike, and why do they seem eerily focused on the
fastest man alive? Julie Jackam finds herself a target once again in the
aftermath of the incident simply because her life was saved by the
Flash!
