QUOTE: "I'm moving faster than the eye can see. As far as any onlookers are concerned, the device will simply disappear. The media will chalk it up to Superman. And you know what? Fine by me." —The Flash

SUMMARY: In Metropolis, Superman and a bomb squad expert race to disarm an explosive device packed with Kryptonite. In Gotham City, the Batman follows an anonymous tip and discovers the Scarecrow waiting for him in alley shadows. In New York, Green Lantern attempts to charge his power ring on a dangerous device disguised as his lantern battery. Deep beneath the ocean waves, Aquaman swims to face a nuclear torpedo targeting Atlantis head-on. And in Keystone, Wally West and Linda Park discover a bizarre, belated wedding present that's been rigged to explode. What these heroes don't know is that all of these elaborately devised attacks have been orchestrated by the same villain and that unknown foe's goals are even more grand than annihilating five of the world's foremost metahumans. It will take the Flash operating at his most astonishing speeds to save his fellow superheroes and defeat the mysterious villain, all in the space of a single heartbeat.
