QUOTE: "I'm serious, Wally! When you're moving at super-speed, you're seeing the world in a way normal people never will. It's easy to have your concentration broken. Keep your focus. If you can do that—you can do anything. You'll learn. I just wish I had more time to teach you." —The Flash

SUMMARY:  Wally West is lost in memories of the year that he gained super-speed powers and learned to use them at the Flash's side. That fateful summer the two speedsters were perplexed by a rash of "copycat crimes" occurring throughout Central City, crimes committed by duplicates who seemed to be acting as mirror images. Young Wally quickly deduced that a local Rogue must be the mastermind behind the crimes—the Mirror Master! After tracking a duplicate to the villain's concealed hideout, Kid Flash was taken hostage, to be used as bait for a lethal trap designed to kill the Flash. Only the training imparted by his mentor allowed the young sidekick to escape in time to aid in the Mirror Master's capture. Unfortunately, in the aftermath of his first run-in with a supervillain, a wounded Wally West learned that his superpowers were beginning to destroy his body!
