SUMMARY: The Flash has been shot in the chest by Vandal
Savage and is presumed dead. Wally West's lifeless body lies in the
desert as a lingering vestige of the Kilg%re works to repair his
biological systems. The young hero is revived some time later with a
renewed sense of power and purpose. Returning to Keystone City, the
Flash plots the downfall of his ageless foe with the help of the
Immortal Man as S.T.A.R. Labs prepares a new costume for the scarlet
speedster. In Egypt, Savage continues to pursue his campaign to flood
the world's markets with drugs, hoping to eliminate the illegal drug
trade and dominate certain international institutions in the process.
Wally's closest friends and family remain his captives. Though Savage is
weakened, he has a super-powered henchwoman by his side. The Russian
speedster Christina Molotova, now addicted to Velocity 9, is under
Savage's sinister control. Granted a new lease on life, the Flash dons
his new costume with determination; now, nothing can stop him from
saving those he loves. The Flash has been reborn! No trap, no weapon, no
super-powered opposition will be able to stop the fastest man alive from
bringing his immortal nemesis to justice!
