SUMMARY: The Flash, Pied Piper, and Vixen are prisoners of
Gorilla Grodd! Caged like animals and forced to wear shock collars, the
three heroes are powerless to stop the villain's sinister scheme to
overthrow human society. The only hope for salvation lies with an inhuman
superhero. Rex the Wonder Dog, a canine transformed by a super-soldier
serum, has arrived in Keystone City to turn the tide of the conflict.
Though Grodd has given his army of animals the gift of sentience, his
megalomaniacal personality demands they act as his obedient slaves. Rex
is able to communicate with the dogs in Grodd's following and thus
begins to sow the seeds of rebellion. The rats, cats, and dogs in its
rank are ready to fight for their rights. With some help from the
fastest man alive, the vast and diverse animal army that Grodd has
spawned will prove to be his very undoing.
