SUMMARY: The team of Central City University scientists
working with Tina McGee on an artificial intelligence project has been
taken over by terrifying mechanical implants. The Kilg%re has returned!
The murderous, alien computer life form has been steadily growing for
weeks, implanting itself in the minds of men and women and inserting
itself into various computer systems. The Kilg%re is desperate to
survive, and it knows it must contend with the superhero who once came
close to extinguishing its intelligence forever. The Flash daringly
fights to save the scientists and to protect Linda and Tina from harm,
but destroying the Kilg%re once again may prove impossible. Wally comes
to realize that nothing is as it seems. This battle for survival is
taking place in virtual space, in a computerized reality dictated by the
Kilg%re itself. The greatest defense against the mechanical menace's
electronic attacks seems to be the mystic power wielded by Seamus O'Relkig,
the spirit that only Linda Park can channel. The very effectiveness of
O'Relkig's intervention, however, suggests to Flash that it is merely
another layer of deception. Linda has not been possessed by a ghostly
Irish sage, she's been possessed by the masquerading Kilg%re! The
increasingly-creative computer intelligence isn't interested in victory,
only survival. Even if the scarlet speedster is successful in saving
Linda and the others, he may lose track of the Kilg%re once more.
