SUMMARY: Wally West's concerned friends have located him
alive, although the speedster is frightened and incoherent, his
consciousness altered, and his body has been pierced by dozens of
dangerously sharp spines. Elsewhere, a small group of local children has
gone missing and the townsfolk are quick to blame the legendary
Porcupine Man. Leading the party set to search out and destroy the urban
legend are Captain Cold and Golden Glider, two former Rogues who now
claim to be operating on the side of the law. Jerry McGee is careful to
keep news of Wally's reappearance a secret, however, correctly assuming
that the vengeful citizens may identify the mutilated young man as their
legendary beast. The only hope of saving the Flash lies in the Chunk's
ability to transverse other dimensions, although saving the fastest man
alive from one set of perils may simply prove a means of delivering him
into the trap that Captain Cold and the Golden Glider are preparing to
spring!
